Faithful Friends

One of the great tributes the Savior can give is to call us “friends.” We know that He loves with a perfect love all of His Heavenly Father’s children. Yet for those who have been faithful in their service with Him, He reserves this special title. You remember the words from the 84th section of the Doctrine and Covenants: “And again I say unto you, my friends, for from henceforth I shall call you friends, it is expedient that I give unto you this commandment, that ye become even as my friends in days when I was with them, traveling to preach the gospel in my power” (D&C 84:77). We become His friends as we serve others for Him. He is the perfect example of the kind of friend we are to become. He wants only what is best for His Heavenly Father’s children. Their happiness is His happiness. He feels their sorrow as His own because He has paid the price of all their sins, taken upon Himself all their infirmities, borne all their troubles, and felt all their longings. His motives are pure. He seeks no recognition for Himself but to give all glory to His Heavenly Father. The perfect friend, Jesus Christ, is completely selfless in offering happiness to others Pres. Coupon Savings!

Hello Sisters!!

I had to share my recent savings! I was told about a website called www.thegrocerygame.com I heard how wonderful this website is. I already have been using the website www.thekrazycouponlady.com I had no idea how much more I could be saving! I started a free trial, at the grocerygame website. It is $10 for 8 weeks, I thought if I save a few bucks, it more than pays for itself. I made my list for Kroger, went through all of my coupons - I just got back from Kroger a few hours ago and had to share my experience. :)

I bought 42 items, that includes items like Tide, Downy fabric softener, 2 boxes of tampons, pampers baby wipes, shampoo, Gillete after shave, Degree deoderant 3 Contessa frozen meals, Hair spray, etc (You get the idea - NOT cheap items!).
I spent $54.31 and SAVED $106.48 that is a savings of 67%! I think my free trial was well worth my time! Try out the website, if you don't like it, you can cancel after your trial. In this economy, it is crucial to save anywhere we can. I am thrilled to buy so many items I use, at a discounted rate. I bought doubles of several things because it allows me to build up my food storage quickly while keeping MORE MONEY in my pocket! Thanks Sisters, had to share my excitement!

Walton Feed Order

Hello Sisters,

I have information on a muliti stake (Lewisville, Denton, Frisco, Carrollton, McKinney, Grapevine) group order for Walton Feed Company. Attached are 3 documents:

- Walton Feed Catalog
- Walton Feed Order Instructions and Order Form

Catherine Fredericksen in the Highland Village ward is heading up this order. She said to let you know that you can forward this to all your friends in the Lewisville Stake.

A multi-stake group order is being organized for Walton Feed Company products.
Attached are the Order Form and Product Catalog for Walton Feed.
Please ONLY forward this information to individuals in the LEWISVILLE Stake. Other participating stakes in our area are receiving these documents and publicizing and managing orders through their own reps - it will be confusing to receive it from multiple sources.
Thank you for your cooperation with this.

55 Gallon Plastic Barrels

I have been informed that Patty Dorman in Frisco has a source for the blue 55 gallon plastic Barrels which may be cleaned and then used for water storage, rain barrels, composters or other things. These barrels had things like soy sauce for restaurants in them, they are food grade plastic and therefore safe for water storage.

There are 2 types of the 55 gallon plastic barrels.
- Type 1 has 2 scre cap openings (a bung wrench will work great)
- Type 2 the whole top is a lid and comes off

The cost is $10.00 each for either barrel type.

Patty's source picks up 10 or 20 of these barrels at a time every few weeks and then delivers them to Patty. If you would like some of these barrels, please complete the attached Order Form and mail it along with your check to Patty.

This is an Ongoing Ordering Process, so Patty will place your order on the list in the order she receives them. She will cash your check when your barrels are ready for delivery and then she will contact you as to when to com and pick them up from her garage.

Bulk Order Palm Shortening

Hello everyone,

I have been informed about a bulk order for Palm Shortening, I think very few people know what Palm Shortening is, so I have included information that was sent to help you learn about Palm Shortening. As I read about it, I was pleased to know that Palm Shorteining has an indefinite shelf life so you don't have to worry about rotating it or it going rancid. It is also tasteless and odorless. Every adult is supposed to have 2-3 gallons of oil stored as part of their storage program. The cost is $30.00 per pail including shipping, that is about $12.00 off what it would cost to get them direct.

Read the information provided below and if you are interested in ordering, please fill out the attached order form and return it, along with your check or cash to me, by July 18th, so that I can place 1 order from our ward. When I place the order I will get the delivery information and let you know.

Honey Order

Sisters,
A group order for local raw honey is being organized by Amy Jukes a sister in Prosper, TX. This is local honey from Desert Creek and can be bought in 1 lb, 2lbs or 5lbs sizes. This is local Raw unfiltered honey, they best kind, especially for allergies. For more information on this honey see the company website: www.desertcreekhoney.com

Orders must be in to Amy by July 4th as she will be taking the orders to the Honey Farm on July 5th. Since Amy was not sure of the response, only 200lbs of honey have been set aside at group order rates!!

Honey is excellent for long term storage because it does not expire and has excellent health benefits and medicinal uses, see: http//www.honey.com/nhb/benefits/

Honey is known as a miracle food, it never goes bad. It was reported that archaeologists found 2000 year old jars of honey in Egyptian tombs and they still tasted delicious! Many people find it rather surprising that bacteria cannot grow in honey, because all things being equal, bacteria loves sugar. The unique chemical composition of low water content and the relatively high acidic level in honey creates a low pH (3.2-4.5) environment that makes it very unfavorable for bacteria or micro-organisms to grow. Thus "Best Before Dates" on honey buckets indicating honey shelf life do not seem to be very important after all.

If you are interested in ordering honey, please contact Bibi Hieftje at 940-498-1744 (home), 940-596-5869 or sfpilot@msn.com and she will forward you the Order Form and Information (Excel spreadsheet with 2 pages). If you have any other questions, contact Bibi Hiefjte directly.

Bithell Farms Freezer Jam and Frozen Fruit Group Order‏

Sisters, (I could not attach the documents. Please call Bibi Hieftje so she can email them to you....)

Attached is the 2010 Product List and Order Ticket (two separate PDF files) for Bithell Farms Frozen Fruit and Freezer Jam. This is an excellent product which most of you that have ordered in past years can attest to. Please feel free to pass this around to your friends. In the past we have put in an order for our ward, but this year we're going to join together with other wards in the stake and Catherine Fredericksen from the Highland Village ward is going to be the point person for gathering and turning in the order.

ORDERS ARE DUE BY JUNE 15TH. Please return only the small Order Ticket with your payment to Catherine Frederiksen, her name and address indicated on the Product List.

Checks should be made payable to Bithell Farms, or you may pay with a credit card. If you are not comfortable writing your credit card info on the order ticket, please contact Catherine Frederickson for instructions on submitting that information directly to Bithell Farms.

We do not have control over where the delivery will take place. Bithell Farms designates the spot based on how many orders go to a particular area. Last year the delivery was at the Tom Thumb parking lot in Flower Mound at the intersection of FM 2499 (Long Prairie) and FM 3040 (Flower Mound Rd.) It is likely it will be there again.

We also have no control over the delivery schedule. It is likely our delivery window will be the end of August through the first week of September. We have no control over the day of week or time of day of delivery (will not be a Sunday and will likely be a midweek day). We will have approximately 5-7 days notice of our delivery date and time. It is VERY important that if you order you are available to pick up your products. If you might have a problem with a midweek, daytime delivery, please coordinate with a friend now to pick up your items for you if you are not available. There is no way to store or hold unclaimed products.

If you are interested in splitting cases of freezer jam, please contact Catherine and she will do her best to match up interested individuals.

If you have further questions feel free to contact Bibi Hieftje at 940-498-1755 (home) 940-597-5869 (cell) or at sfpilot@msn.com

Thank you!
